BAU 2005 has given the building and construction sector new impetus and confidence. Despite a generally weak situation in the industry in Germany and further afield, over 190,000 visitors came along to Europe´s largest building materials fair – that´s 10,000 more than two years ago. The six-day fair was a great success, with full halls and a sometimes euphoric atmosphere. It has given new confidence and a new boost to the whole sector for the coming year.

IMMA STONE FAIR 2007, the third international stone monument Fair is being organized by Indian Monument Manufacturers Association from January 4-7, 2007 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai-600 089, India.
The Indian Monument Industry made its first export to UK in early 1930 and it will be completing 75 years in 2006. It is a long historical development that from the days of the monument made from a hand polishing machine, today we have computer controlled machine with all facilities and from hand crafted workmanship, the industry has grown to the hi-tech era in these days.

The Ukraine possesses large deposits of natural stone, mainly granites of unique range of colours. It is more than 25 quarries in Ukraine are extracting 220-230 thousand cubic metre of a granite, marble, gabbro which are used in the construction of Ukraine and exported abroad. The explored reserves of block stone are about 200 million cubic meters. According to the estimation of American geologists the stone reserves in Ukraine are estimated at 20 trillion dollars US.
